Carol A Eason gained a BA(hons) in Fine Art, as a mature student and graduated in 2007. Since then she has been making mixed media paintings, of today’s children at play. These paintings have evolved becoming increasingly vibrant with movement and colour. Inspired by the increasing pressures of childhood, today and yesterday, there is a thread of reality within each piece.
“I become involved with their existence as each story grows and it becomes more difficult to part with them once they are sold.
While at university I was introduced to printing with its many forms and became hooked. So it is my other passion and taking intensive collagraph, intaglio, etching and screen printing workshops with dedicated printers, has allowed me to spread my wings.”
Carol believes in the power of community and has run free family art drop ins, when ever possible. Helped with school projects locally and runs workshops in the community and studio each year.
“I am finding my childhood within my art, its amazing how much you can miss with out knowing”.
